Trading involves risk

Trading securities, crypto, or any financial instrument involves substantial risk, including the possible loss of all capital. You should never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

Automation does not remove risk

  • Trading bots and automation can fail, misfire, disconnect, or behave unexpectedly.
  • Paper trading results do not guarantee live trading results.
  • Past performance of any strategy, system, or example does not guarantee future results.
  • Market conditions change; a system that behaved one way in testing may behave differently live.

No guaranteed results

C.A.P.S Blueprint makes no guarantees of profits, win rates, income, or any specific outcome. Any examples are educational illustrations, not performance claims.

Market data limitations

Free market data can be limited or delayed. For example, Alpaca's Basic plan includes limited real-time IEX-based equities data, while broader SIP coverage requires a paid data plan. Always understand the limits of your data source before relying on it.

Cash-account and settlement risk

U.S. securities moved to T+1 settlement on May 28, 2024. Users should understand settled cash, unsettled funds, and Good Faith Violation risk before using automation in a cash account. Rules vary by broker — confirm them with your own broker.

Your responsibility

You make your own trading decisions. You stay in control of your own accounts. Paper-test before any live use, use risk limits, and never rely on automation without monitoring.
